That should be the title of her autobiography: "Glitter and Cement."

Every once in a while, someone gets their star or their cement footprints and we're surprised. Cher is just getting this now? Granted, it all comes down to publicists paying to have these kinds of "honors" bestowed, but wouldn't you have thought Cher got this honor decades ago?

Anyway, how cute is it that she sprinkled glitter all over it? How very Cher. We got a little flack for praising her red carpet appearance for the premiere of her film, but we think the critics might have missed the point. She's CHER. The rules simply do not apply. And if Cher wants to wear a tight mini-dress and fishnet stockings, even though she's long past the age where such a look would be considered stylish, SHE'S FREAKING CHER.

Nice to see she's out and about with her son, Chaz. Back in the day, when Chaz first came out as a lesbian, Cher famously had some issues with it, which she, to her enormous credit, admitted and eventually got over. We thought there was something a little poignant about that. If FREAKING CHER needs time to come to terms with a gay child, imagine how hard it must be for regular middle class parents far from the big coastal cities to handle such news. That she not only got over it, but learned to embrace her daughter as her son is huge.

We have a question, though. We're not Hollywood historians, so maybe some of you know. How have they not run out of space for these cement tributes? Do they get rid of the old ones so they can put newer ones in? It seems we heard that at some point but we don't know if it's true.
